Middle Atlas Day Trip From Fes
Description
Our excursion to the Middle Atlas is among the most enchanting trips available from Morocco’s imperial cities. Departure is at the usual time for most Morocco Desert World day trips, 8 a.m. The first stop is Imouzar Kender, a small town renowned for its annual apple festival. Located 40 km from Fes, its population predominantly speaks the Amazigh dialect of the Berber language.
Next, we’ll visit Dait Aoua, a famous and picturesque lake in the area on the route to Ifrane. Here, you can admire the beauty of the surrounding cedar and oak trees.
Ifrane, recognized as the world’s second cleanest city in a survey by MBC Times, is a small city established by France in 1930. We’ll explore its most beautiful places and enjoy its pleasant weather. Don’t miss the opportunity to see the lion stone before we pause for lunch.
Finally, we’ll venture into the vast cedar forest to observe the Barbary macaques that inhabit the area. We’ll also visit Azrou town and its Berber market before returning to Fes in the late afternoon.
